Towards developing a commercializable CARS endoscope in the CRIMSON project, Lightcore Technologies, a startup in Marseille, France, has achieved a milestone in building a standalone all-in-one endoscope featuring an easy-operation user interface for both hardware and software. The endoscope probe is fabricated from a wide-transmission and low-lost hollow core fiber and the dexterous sample end (seen in the inset) has potential to adapt for various fundamental research and biomedical application. The current mode of endoscope can perform 2-photon imaging.
